Corporate Social Responsibility Statement

At MedBridge, we believe it is important to be active members in the Santa Barbara community in which we live and work. We do this by investing in three pillars: healthcare, education, and the environment.

Healthcare

Healthcare is the core of our business. MedBridge exists to provide access to safe, effective surgery and to free surgeons and specialists to focus their best energy on healing their patients, locally and globally. Supporting Operation Rainbow is one of the ways we invest in in healthcare services around the world.

Operation Rainbow

For 40 years, Operation Rainbow has provided orthopedic surgical and non-surgical care to over 18,000 children who would otherwise not have access to these services. Here at MedBridge, we want to help children around the world receive the surgeries they need to live without unnecessary pain. By supporting Operation Rainbow, we help free more volunteers to provide surgery to patients who can’t afford necessary orthopedic care. It is our joy to partner with Operation Rainbow in changing the lives of children around the world. Learn more about Operation Rainbow here.

Education

MedBridge contributes time, talent, and finances toward educational resources for our local community. By supporting Partners in Education, we invest in the future of our community.

Partners in Education

The mission of Partners in Education is to connect businesses and individuals with the schools and youth-serving nonprofit organizations that serve them. Their goal (and ours) is to improve public education in ways that support a more vibrant economy, the health of our community, and the well-being of local children and their families. Between MedBridge’s financial support of Partners in Education, our CEO’s service on the board, and the thousands of hours that MedBridge employees have volunteered, our company has been a steadfast supporter of this organization. MedBridge employees have also supported their Computers for Families program, and volunteered through school beautification projects, tutoring, resume workshops, and mock interviews. Learn more about Partners in Education here.

Environment

MedBridge strives to create and maintain an environmentally sustainable workplace in all our business operations. We strive to have the smallest possible impact on the environment through actions big and small.

California Certified Green Business:

Since 2010, MedBridge has been part of the California Certified Green Business Program, which focuses on sustainability and creating an inspiring example for our staff, community, and other businesses. We pride ourselves on the integrity to do the right thing as it relates to our environmental impact. MedBridge minimizes our environmental impact through reducing waste, reusing and recycling, operating with energy and water efficiency, incentivizing employees to choose “green” methods of transportation, and equipping our office with water bottle refill stations. Learn more about Green Business certification here.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Time:

We realize that our staff have unique perspectives of the needs of our community. To that end MedBridge provides 8 hours of company-paid time off each year for employees to volunteer in an area of their choosing. MedBridge employees have used this time to conduct beach clean-ups, volunteer with youth, help maintain community gardens, and more. The options are as wide as the imaginations of our staff.
