MedBridge Announces Expansion of Leadership and Clinical Services Teams, Promotion of Marshall Flinn to President

Promotions signal continued growth and chart the course for future expansion

MedBridge Development Company, LP (“MedBridge”), a management and development firm specializing in ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), is pleased to announce several key promotions. These promotions coincide with the company’s steady growth and market expansion, including upcoming ASC developments in Nevada, Texas, and Southern California.

Founder, CEO and current President Dave Odell will continue as CEO, leading strategic expansion initiatives and driving continued growth at the company’s helm. Marshall Flinn will serve as MedBridge’s new President and General Counsel, leading the firm in its mission to improve financial and clinical outcomes for surgeons and specialists. Caleb Rhoads will transition to Chief Operating Officer, and Lisa Schmitz will be promoted to Director of Revenue Cycle Management, working alongside Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management Ashley Nagaoka and Director of Human Resources Todd Tressler.

In addition to these promotions, MedBridge continues to enhance their Clinical Services under the leadership of Susan Andersen, Director of ASC Operations, and Casandra Amara, Director of Clinical Services. Ms. Andersen and Ms. Amara improve clinical outcomes in alignment with MedBridge’s broader corporate objectives, guiding strategic initiatives with their extensive experience in clinical settings.

To further these clinical initiatives, MedBridge has also promoted Sean Noel to Clinical Services Manager and Missy Robertson to Client Services Specialist. Mr. Noel will guide client regulatory compliance and resource coordination, while Ms. Robertson will ensure the seamless transition of new and existing facilities to MedBridge services.

 

Marshall Flinn

A licensed attorney with sharp financial acumen, Marshall Flinn is uniquely equipped to guide clients to achieve their business goals. He brings a deep knowledge of company operations, having worked in various roles across operations, accounting and client partnerships since joining MedBridge in 2013. As President, Mr. Flinn ensures that all client partnerships thrive and are aligned with the company’s broader vision and objectives. He prioritizes frequent communication with both internal and external stakeholders, providing detailed updates on business and financial performance. As General Counsel, Mr. Flinn leverages his experience as an attorney to advise the company on legal matters and negotiate all corporate agreements, ensuring that contracts support the financial strength and long-term sustainability of the company.

 

Caleb Rhoads

Caleb Rhoads has over 15 years of experience in the financial and operational sectors of MedBridge, serving as Director of Financial Services, Controller and most recently, Vice President of Finance & Operations. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Rhoads leads the executive team in strategic planning and ensures alignment of business initiatives with company policies and objectives. He oversees seamless daily business functions while maintaining the organization’s financial health and long-term sustainability. Working alongside CEO Dave Odell and President Marshall Flinn, Mr. Rhoads will advance the company’s strategic vision by mitigating risk, optimizing processes, and identifying key opportunities for growth.

 

Lisa Schmitz

Lisa Schmitz, promoted to Director of Revenue Cycle Management, will oversee MedBridge’s Patient Services, Billing & Accounts Receivable departments. A skilled manager with extensive knowledge of insurance collections, Ms. Schmitz ensures the revenue cycle runs smoothly and supports department managers in delivering excellent client service. Her expertise with healthcare billing, insurance negotiation and contracting will be pivotal to helping clients collect more per case—and ensuring client satisfaction as a result.

 

Susan Andersen

Susan Andersen, Director of ASC Operations, leads the strategic planning, organization, and evaluation of facility business operations. With over 10 years of experience managing Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Ms. Andersen excels at guiding strategic decisions around staffing, procurement and materials management, and case costing. She monitors financial performance, enhances centers for profitability, and ensures administrative compliance to maintain certifications and accreditations. Skilled at physician recruitment and fostering relationships with clinical staff, she is instrumental in maximizing caseloads. Ms. Andersen’s leadership ensures that our facilities operate at their fullest potential.

 

Casandra Amara

As Director of Clinical Services, Casandra Amara is responsible for helping each of our surgery centers achieve the highest standards of patient care. Ms. Amara brings 10 years of clinical experience as an OR Circulator RN specialized in orthopedics, including joint and spine. She comes to MedBridge after a successful tenure managing an ASC as the Director of Nursing and leverages her first-hand experience to help clients achieve and maintain accreditation and certification standards. A strong leader, Ms. Amara manages ASCs with clarity and confidence. She creates safe, therapeutic environments that empower healthcare practitioners to identify, anticipate and meet their patients’ psychological, physiological, and physical needs.

 

Sean Noel

As Clinical Services Manager, Sean Noel will oversee the Clinical Services team as they help clients manage clinical operations, meet regulatory requirements, and exceed standards of excellence in patient care. With over 20 years of experience working in the surgical environment, Mr. Noel has a deep understanding of clinical operations and their stringent regulatory requirements. In his new role, Mr. Noel will oversee ASC compliance and materials management, guiding the optimization of clinical resources and accurate case-costing.

 

Missy Robertson

Missy Robertson, promoted to Client Services Specialist, will plan and oversee the transition of new and existing facilities to MedBridge services. Since joining MedBridge in 2015, Ms. Robertson supported revenue cycle operations as a patient services manager and later developed critical training programs as Learning & Development Specialist. In her new role, Ms. Robertson brings an expert knowledge of MedBridge processes to client operations, supporting the Clinical Services team and driving client success.
